I built this deck for the moment in the doorway. Not the argument, not the toast, just the second before you walk in, when your chest tightens and your body has already decided something your mind has not caught up to yet. A shared meal asks a lot of a person. A holiday gathering asks more, because the table is crowded with old roles, bright lights, rich food, and people who have known you a long time.

Here is the thing that reframed all of this for me: most of the traffic on the vagus nerve runs upward, carrying signals from the gut and the heart to the brain rather than the other way around. Your body is not receiving the verdict on the room. It is writing it. That is why willpower fails at the table and a long exhale does not, and it is why every card in this deck asks something of the body rather than the mind.

The 40 cards run in four suits of ten. The Visceral Feast works with the gut, appetite, and the physical act of eating. The Relational Hearth works with voice, gaze, touch, and where you sit. The Ancestral Shadow meets the family roles and inherited scripts a gathering summons. The Harvest Anchor is for leaving with your nervous system intact. Every card carries an essence, an affirmation, and one small practice you can do between bites without anyone noticing.

Use it before you arrive, when the anticipation alone tightens your chest. Use it when a comment lands and heat rises. Use it when you go foggy and checked out, or the morning after, when your body is paying the bill. The guidebook walks through a four-step flow (Notice, Name, Check, Regulate) and four spreads, from a single pre-meal draw to a five-card arc across a whole gathering.
