Folk calendars revolved around feast days, when ordinary bread became an occasion and neighbors made room for one another at the table.
Abundance becomes real when it circulates. Mark the good day and feed someone. In shadow, the feast becomes performance: a full table may hide an empty pantry or an exhausted host.

When The Feast appears in a reading
The Feast shows up when good fortune has arrived and I have been storing it instead of passing it around. Feast days made ordinary bread an occasion by sharing it. The card asks me to mark the good day out loud and feed someone, because abundance that only sits in the pantry never becomes real.
The shadow is the performed table. A spread that looks generous can hide an exhausted host or an empty cupboard. When The Feast appears, I ask whether my table feeds people or performs for them, and who is missing from it this season.

Invite one person to share something small this week: a meal, a walk, a piece of good news you have been keeping to yourself.
