Cognitive Reappraisal Oracle
$36.97
My 44-card oracle for reframing the hard moments. Built on cognitive reappraisal from CBT, it loosens old stories so you can meet your day from a steadier place.
Description
I made the Cognitive Reappraisal Oracle because so much of what runs us is not what happens, but the story we tell ourselves about what happens. Change the interpretation and you change the feeling that follows. That single idea rescued me more than once, and I wanted to put it in a form you could hold in your hand.
The deck is built on cognitive reappraisal, one of the most studied emotion-regulation skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Reappraisal is antecedent-focused, which means it works early, before a feeling has fully hardened, by shifting how you read a situation. That shift changes both the emotional and the physiological response that would have followed. In plain terms, it helps calm the brain’s threat response and strengthen the systems responsible for clear, balanced thinking, lowering reactivity while building resilience.
The 44 cards translate that therapy-room skill into an intuitive practice. Drawing a card becomes a mindful interruption, a moment that pulls you out of an automatic pattern and into reflective choice. Each card carries a meaning, an affirmation, and reflection prompts and practices, so you are not just naming a thought but working with it. The key to the whole system is consistency, small and repeated rather than large and occasional.
This is a mirror deck, not a fortune-teller. It does not tell you what will happen; it retrains how you meet what is already here. Pull one card in the morning, work through a spiral with journaling, or lay a spread when a story about yourself feels heavier than it should.
Created by me, Zara Grimm, for Idyllic Visions. I write the concept, the card meanings, the guidebook, and the practices; the artwork is developed through an AI-assisted visual process that I direct, refine, and assemble into the finished deck. Each order includes 44 oracle cards and a printed guidebook with meanings, affirmations, reflection prompts, and practices. Printed and shipped in the USA by our production partner.
The Cognitive Reappraisal Oracle is a reflective and educational tool. It is not therapy or a substitute for professional mental health care.
