Clear what can actually be cleared: one surface, one unfinished task, one demand that no longer belongs. In shadow, clearing becomes avoidance. Some problems cannot be swept away; they need to be faced and discussed.

When The Besom appears in a reading
The Besom is one of the most practical cards I own. It appears when there is too much in the room, on the desk, in the week, in my head, and the honest first step is to clear what can actually be cleared. One surface. One unfinished task. One demand that no longer belongs to me. Then begin.
The shadow is sweeping as avoidance. A clean counter does not resolve a conversation I have been dodging, and a tidy week does not settle a decision. When The Besom appears next to something that needs facing, I read it as clear the space so you can face it, not clear the space instead.

Clear one surface completely, then sit at it and write down the one thing you have been sweeping around.
